Chicago Dance Health Fund and Howard Brown Health are thrilled to have forged a partnership.
Howard Brown Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) offering primary medical care; behavioral healthcare; HIV/STI prevention, screening, and education; social, behavioral, and clinical research; youth services; elder services; case management; outreach services; and dental care. Howard Brown Health sees anyone regardless of ability to pay.

You may call the Patient Access Center at 773.388.1600 to schedule an appointment for primary care, insurance enrollment assistance, behavioral health, and more.
Dance industry professionals using Howard Brown’s suite of services will be able to apply to Chicago Dance Health Fund to have any medical appointment co-pays covered.
“This partnership with Howard Brown Health is going to allow Chicago Dance Health Fund to connect our dance community to health services that may have been challenging to access previously,” said Michael Anderson, former CDHF Board President. “It's a game changer for CDHF as we continue helping our dance community remain healthy.”

SHIRLEY RYAN ABILITYLAB
Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is now the official provider of orthopedic and physical therapy services for Chicago Dance Health Fund. As announced in August at CDU’s (former name) 32nd annual fundraiser Dance for Life, Board President Sara Schumann explained, “This partnership provides a significant discount for Chicago dance industry professionals who are uninsured, including those who have retired. They are now eligible to receive services at the discounted rate, services like physical therapy and orthopedic care. This partnership helps us increase our reach and provide meaningful support for our community’s needs. We are deeply grateful to Shirley Ryan AbilityLab for helping us further our grant dollars as we explore this new partnership.”
In addition, CDHF’s existing partnership with Howard Brown Health, which has been referring Chicago dance community members to primary care physicians, dentists, mental health professionals, and more at its clinics for little to no cost since September 2022, is also directing dance professionals 24 and younger to its Broadway Youth Center, where services are free.
